Join the YUFE Civic Engagement Activities Intro Training for Students
Are you interested in getting involved in YUFE’s civic activities and making a real impact beyond your studies? Start by taking part in the Civic Engagement Activities Intro Training for Students – an online session designed to help you begin your civic engagement journey.
During the training, you will gain a clear understanding of what civic engagement means within YUFE and across European universities. You will learn about the YUFE Civic Star, why universities place increasing importance on social responsibility, and how your involvement in community initiatives helps you develop valuable, transferable skills. The session will also guide you on how to recognise and present these competencies effectively.
This training is open to all students – whether you are already planning to earn your Civic Star through YUFE Help Desks or the Community Volunteering Programme, or simply exploring ways to get involved and contribute to your community.
The YUFE Civic Star is a shareable digital badge you can add to platforms like LinkedIn, helping you showcase your engagement and skills to a wider audience.
Take this opportunity to get involved, build new competencies, and be part of initiatives that truly make a difference.
The Civic Star requires a minimum total workload of 50 hours, including:
- Attending this training (one time only);
- Completing a YUFE civic engagement activity (Help Desk or Community Volunteering Programme) and submitting your timesheet;
- Filling in the YUFE Civic Star Reflection Report.
