The Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) Alliance is excited to announce that registration for the academic year 2026/2027 is now open for its innovative YUFE’s Joint Bachelor in Urban Sustainability Studies.
This three-year degree programme* tackles the most pressing sustainability challenges facing our cities and rural areas, preparing a new generation of leaders to drive positive change in urban sustainability across Europe.
With its unique design, the programme combines hands-on learning, real-world experience, and mobility across multiple European universities, offering a truly international and practical approach to education.
How the programme works
In the first year, students acquire knowledge in sustainability, urban planning, data-driven decision-making and interdisciplinary problem-solving, while studying at one of the partner universities. In years two and three, they personalise their studies by choosing minors from across the YUFE network, selecting from a broad set of themes such as inclusive digital tools, sustainable mobility, circular economy, or resilient urban design, and spend time studying at different European locations. The degree culminates in a dissertation project where students apply their knowledge to a real urban sustainability challenge.
