The YUFE Student Forum, the representative body of all YUFE students, has successfully elected a new board during their recent ExComm Meeting held at the University of Bremen. The elections mark a significant step in ensuring continued student representation and active participation within the YUFE Alliance.
The YUFE Student Forum is dedicated to uniting students from various backgrounds and ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard and valued in shaping their educational journey.
Why the YUFE Student Forum is a Must-Join Adventure!
In a world that is in constant change, this forum serves as a bridge, bringing together students from diverse institutions to celebrate our differences while addressing common challenges. By fostering dialogue and cultivating a sense of belonging and community, the Student Forum is shaping a more inclusive and supportive educational environment.
As we embrace this new chapter, the YUFE Student Forum (SF) is devoted to understanding and responding to the evolving needs of our student body. With the leadership of the new executive board, we look forward to creating innovative programs and opportunities that foster engagement and connection.
Let’s hear from our new YUFE Student Forum Board:

I am doing my Master’s in Social Sciences, majoring in Social and Public Policy at the University of Eastern Finland.
From this role, I expect to learn valuable skills and enrich my knowledge and skills in international policy-making. I wish to continue the great work our previous Boards and students have done in the past academic years and do my part to ensure student engagement at all levels within YUFE. In addition, I wish to start actively communicating with our local Student Unions and strengthen our role within our institutions. Lastly and most importantly, I am committed to always creating and ensuring an inspiring, encouraging, united, equal and accessible space for everyone to share and voice their goals and ideas.
Sanni Vesala, YUFE Student Forum Board President
I’m a PhD candidate in Political Sciences at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University.
As Vice-President of the YUFE Student Forum Board, I expect to be able to represent students’ voices and interests properly. Having been a YUFE student for a year already, I’m very pleased with the alliance and the current offer, but I also have plenty of ideas about how to render it more accessible and inviting to the whole student community of our respective universities so that everyone can profit from it and perhaps even take a more active role in the YUFE community and contribute to its development and improvement.
Jaqueline Prado-Prado, YUFE Student Forum Vice-President

I am studying law at the Faculty of Law, University of Rijeka.
From my role in the YUFE Student Forum Board, firstly, I expect to give me friends, give me an opportunity to have “my people” in different corners of the world, and give me the freedom to express my feelings towards different things happening in the world and more importantly to give me a chance to work on those.
What do I wish to achieve? That is always a question to think about. I wish to make myself a better person, rebuild some parts, and make some parts even better than they are now. I also wish to get some work done that will be recognizable even for the next 10 years and for all new boards of SF to come. I wish to do something meaningful. to find new, creative solutions to old constant problems and to solve new problems and new impediments, to leave an honourable legacy of my work, of our work as a SF Board.
Petra Gudović, YUFE Student Forum Secretary
Let’s navigate challenges and celebrate successes within the YUFE community. Together, we can create a brighter future for all students.
