Two competitive calls resulted in the appointment of 55 excellent international postdoctoral researchers at nine of the YUFE universities. After having revealed our first cohort in October, we are pleased to introduce the second and final cohort!
The YUFE4 postdocs are appointed for 3 years and conduct research in a wide range of disciplines linked to urban challenges and opportunities. Their research is further carried out within the focus domains of the YUFE Alliance. Within this second cohort, twenty-two postdocs are developing knowledge within the focus area of Citizens’ Wellbeing and nine of them within the area of European Identity.
The YUFE4Postdocs program, led by the University of Antwerp, is carried out in collaboration with nine partner universities of the YUFE Alliance. The program offers a novel training program made up of online courses and four interactive two-day workshops in Antwerp throughout 2025 and 2026. Besides carrying out excellent research, the postdocs will be trained in Open Science, stakeholder involvement; community-engaged Research, business development and science communication. This program intends to assist them in becoming future-proof researchers, building bridges between academia and society.
