Want to get socially involved with YUFE but not sure how to start?
This training is for you.
Civic Engagement Activities Intro Training for Students is an online training session that will introduce you to the ideas behind the YUFE Civic Star and the rules for applying to it. You will discover why universities and YUFE are interested in community engagement and how to recognize and make visible the different competencies gained by attending civic engagement activities. Also, you will learn the principles & practicalities of obtaining the Civic Star.
The training is for students who have already decided to obtain a YUFE Civic Star by attending either YUFE Help Desks or Community Volunteering Programme or those just considering the opportunity.
Participation in one training session is mandatory for obtaining the YUFE Civic Star, but sessions are open to all YUFE students.
The total workload for the Civic Star is a minimum of 50 hours, including:
- Attending the training
- Completing the activity (YUFE Help Desk / YUFE Community Volunteering Programme) and providing the timesheet
- Filling in the YUFE Civic Star Reflection Report
