YUFE was proud to participate in the recent University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) Conference, held in Madrid from May 27th to 29th, 2024. This prestigious event, themed “Shaping the Future of Talent and Innovation,” is the largest global gathering dedicated to university-industry collaboration, fostering entrepreneurial universities, and shaping the future of higher education.
YUFE’s Impactful Collaboration:
Our colleagues from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid played a key role in co-organizing this year’s UIIN conference. During the event, Maria José Herrero Villa (UC3M) delivered a captivating presentation that highlighted the impactful work being done by the YUFE alliance, a pioneering European Universities initiative.
Demand-Driven Knowledge Valorisation:
Barbara Tan, from the University of Antwerp, presented in the closing session titled “Transformative Pathways towards a More Demand-Driven Knowledge Valorisation: Lessons from the European University Alliance YUFE,” exploring the findings of the YUFERING project. This project facilitated the development of a shared YUFE vision on knowledge valorisation, ensuring our knowledge creation directly addresses societal needs.
