The Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) Alliance is excited to announce an open position for a motivated and proactive Communications and Monitoring Officer to join our Central Office team in Brussels. As part of the YUFE Central Office, the new Communications and Monitoring Officer will support the daily operations and communications activities of a shared service unit serving the whole Alliance and its partners. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, intercultural environment where planning, organisation, and flexibility are highly valued.
What You’ll Do:
- Website Management: Manage and maintain the YUFE website, including content development, monitoring, and liaising with web developers.
- Seed Funding Coordination: Coordinate the implementation of the YUFE seed funding scheme, including communication and dissemination, support to applicants, the selection process and committee, and follow-up and iteration of the scheme.
- Database & Distribution: Keep the contact database and distribution lists for YUFE communications up to date.
- Market Analysis: Support market analysis on YUFE’s joint educational offers.
- Content Planning & Reporting: Support communications content planning, delivery, monitoring, and reporting.
- Events: Assist in the planning and execution of meetings and events.
- Project Management: Assist in project management tasks such as reporting and dissemination.
What We’re Looking For:
- A master’s degree
- At least 3 years of working experience in a Communications/Dissemination-based role or similar
- Good knowledge of MS Office (experience with SharePoint and Exact Online is a plus), Mailchimp, Canva, and WordPress; experience with CornerStone is an asset
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (other European languages are an asset)
- Comfortable working independently and within a small team, with flexibility to support a diverse range of tasks
- Ideal start date: January 2027

Interview Process:
- First-round interviews of shortlisted candidates will be held online on 28 and 29 October 2026.
