The European Digital Innovation Hub in Cyprus (DiGiNN) supports the digital transformation of businesses and public sector organisations by providing coaching, access to advanced infrastructure, investment support, networking opportunities, and connections to innovation ecosystems. DiGiNN brings together Cyprus’ leading expertise in AI, HPC, cybersecurity, and other advanced digital technologies by connecting Centres of Excellence and organisations driving the twin transition. Co-funded by the EU Digital Europe Programme and the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus, it supports the country’s digital transformation.
Challenges - demands - offers
DiGiNN currently faces growing demand for supporting digitalisation and AI adoption across industries. Key challenges include keepign pace with rapidly evolving digital trends, in particular AI, finding skilled talent, and securing sustainable funding. Additionally, local SMEs have low digital maturity level and insiffucient resources to undertake digital transformation. Collaboration opportunities include partnerships in R&I projects, training and upskilling programmes focusing on advanced technologies, and reinforced engagement with industry.
