As part of the YUFE vision for joint European education, the YUFE partners want to integrate doctoral and postdoctoral training activities with the YUFE values. Specifically for postdoctoral training, YUFE aims to develop, promote, implement and pilot the YUFE Postdoctoral Training and Development Scheme and to organise YUFE courses for early career researchers.
With the development of the YUFE Postdoctoral Training and Developing Scheme, YUFE wants to provide institutionalised network-broad support, foster new collaboration opportunities, facilitate mobility and provide international YUFE-wide high-quality training and peer networking opportunities, bearing in mind that postdoctoral researchers are a distinct target group that merit specific attention and support in their endeavours, their teaching, their research, in finding balance and personal development.
The YUFE Pilot on Postdoctoral Training and Development aims to promote, implement and pilot this scheme, as well as organise international YUFE courses for postdoctoral researchers on topics such as ‘Leadership’, and ‘International Career Development’, as well as co-organise informal peer-support sessions on varying topics together with postdoctoral researchers, to stimulate and nurture the researchers’ needs while marrying peer competencies with expert advice.
On 19 (and 28) November 2024 the YUFE Pilot on Postdoctoral Training and Development will start with a YUFE-wide virtual kick-off.
